Do you want to ensure that your plants and seeds grow in an ideal environment? Brycus tips you how to create your own mini-greenhouse.
In this article, we will talk about two different kinds of mini-greenhouses: one made of wood and one made of PVC. The materials to be used for the design of these structures are inexpensive and easily available. Moreover, these are very fun DIY projects. At Brycus you can find everything you need.
Get eight wooden frames with glass included that are used to display paintings or photographs. You will need four small (5 x 7 inches), two medium (8 x 10 inches) and two large (11 x 14 inches) models.
You will then need to attach the medium frames to the large ones. To do this, you will need to drill a hole in the back of the 10-inch edge and the outside of the 11-inch edge, and secure the joints with the help of a screw. By using this procedure to connect the four frames together, you will form a rectangular structure that will form the frame of the greenhouse.
The next step is to create a triangular shaped roof with the four small frames. Pair them together, side by side, with the 5-inch edges making contact with each other. Then, drill a hole and screw the joints together. Position the two frames at the longest edge so that they form a right angle and use a clamp to secure the connection.
Install two hinges that connect the roof and the frame at one of their long edges. This way you can open the greenhouse whenever you need to, as if it were a chest. Apply filler to seal any gaps in the frame joints.
Finally, paint the structure to your liking and fix the glasses to their respective frames, applying silicone to the edges. You can now place as many plants as you like in your greenhouse.
