Ecological Fertilizers

In the latest publications of the most prestigious magazines in Europe they disclosed that organic foods have 60% more antioxidants, less harmful residues of heavy metals and pesticides than conventional foods.

Ecological fertilizers

Green fertilizers return to the ancient practice of burying weeds. In our days we have a great diversity of organic fertilizers :

• Animal manure, such as guano, palomina, manure and chicken manure.
• Animal droppings (palomina, guano (from seabirds and bats), manure (bovine or horse droppings), chicken manure (chicken and chicken droppings). Or other manures:
• Ashes that result from wood or fruit bones that are important for excellent plant support, as they have a lot of potassium and no heavy minerals or different substances that can cause adverse effects.
• Hangover: sediment from rivers that are not affected by pollution is used.
• Purifying sludge: it is very difficult to know if they have any harmful component (heavy metals), it is forbidden to use them to pay for work for human food. They are often used to fertilize forests and mountains.

• They increase the action of soil microbes.
• They don't require a lot of energy to make.
• They allow to develop on organic remains.
• They cause the conservation of livelihoods and allow the adhesion of carbon in the soils, nitrogen and phosphorus fixing microorganisms, beneficial fungi and very small algae.
• They optimize the volume of water absorption of the earth, the ventilation of the earth and equalize its pH.
• They reduce the contamination of the water table by the solid-liquid extraction of nitrites and nitrates.
• They preserve the fertility of the soil and prevent its degradation.
• Food sown with organic fertilizers have up to 60% more antioxidants.

One of the disadvantages of organic fertilizers is that if they are not applied properly they could become a principle of harmful agents and require intense and skilled labor. For the same reason, they tend to have a slightly higher price than those that are made only with conventional chemicals that have so damaged human health and soils.
